Overview
The Shapeshifter — renamed the Mimic in more recent updates — passes as an ordinary patient right up until it suddenly transforms into a hostile creature, catching unprepared players completely off guard.
Unlike the Skinwalker, which you can catch on the CCTV before admitting it, the Shapeshifter's danger is in the sudden reveal. Once it drops the disguise it will go after your patients, so reacting quickly matters.
The moment it transforms, speed is everything. Hit it with a taser or gun immediately, before it can damage the patients you have already admitted.
