Overview
Twitching is one of the easiest appearance anomalies to miss because a healthy patient stands completely still, and the spasms only fire off every few seconds. If you rush the shutters button you will let it walk straight in before it ever twitches.
The movement itself is small and mechanical — a sudden jerk of the head, a flick of the arm, or a shudder that runs down the body — and then the patient freezes again as if nothing happened. That stop-start rhythm is the whole tell. A real animal fidgets smoothly and continuously; an anomaly snaps between poses.
The fix is patience. Give every patient a full four to five second look before you make a call, and keep your eyes on the shoulders and neck where the jerks are most visible. If you catch any repeated twitching, treat it as an anomaly and refuse entry.
